Golden Globes Mystery: What’s Going On Here With Madonna And Jessica Biel?

From this photograph, it seems that something serious is about to go down betweenMadonna and Jessica Biel on the Golden Globes red carpet. Random blonde lady in black in the middle seems to be the referee. Biel and Madge seem poised in classicCrouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon fighting poses. What’s the beef about? Does Madonna want more than Four Minutes with Justin Timberlake? Does Jessica have a problem with the fact that Madonna in Reema Acra may just look (way) hotter than her? Has the quantity of granny lace on Jess’ Elie Saab dress made Madge see red? Answers below, people. (more…)

Octavia Spencer Complains About Her Louboutins And 10 Other Great Golden Globes Press Room Moments

There’s a party going on right here at the Beverly Hilton. The Golden Globes truly are a celebration to last through out the year. (Check out our favorite moments from the show!) Dare we say that they might even be the most fun night in Hollywood… EVER.Everyone – press, crew, celebs – is in good spirits, the booze is plentiful and the emphasis is on having a good time. And everything is so pretty! The Beverly Hilton is a beautiful and iconic spot any day of the week, but there’s something extra magical about tonight’s event. The red carpet actually felt like a living, breathing thing and it.is.FIERCE.
But the best part of the night was, of course, hearing from the winners, in all their sweet, excited glory. We were stationed in the press room and had the privilege of listening to all their best moments — from the absolutely ridiculous to the downright cry-worthy. We count ‘em down for you below.
  • Octavia Spencer kicking her shoes off in the middle of answering questions, and then delivering this important message: “Christian Louboutin, I love you but when you have this much weigh you gotta give us a little platform.”
  • George Clooney answering the ‘Where is Ryan Gosling?’ question: “He’s [working] in Thailand. And you know what they do in Thailand.
  • Matt LeBlanc having a “Joey” moment onstage, answering a reporter’s question with “How you

Our Favorite Golden Globes Moments: The Artist’s Dog, Penis Jokes And More

We actually had a scorecard ready to mark how many offensive things Ricky Gervaissaid at tonight’s Golden Globes, but it seems that he decided to leave the raunch and insults to others. Most of it, at least. Anyway, here are our favorite silly, cute, funny and moving moments from the 69th annual awards show, in semi-chronological order:
» Ricky Gervais said he wasn’t allowed to joke about Mel Gibson, or Jodie Foster’sBeaver. “I haven’t seen it myself; that doesn’t mean it’s not any good.”
» Ricky continued his amusing relationship with Johnny Depp by asking him onstage: “Have you seen The Tourist?” To which Depp answered, “No.”
» Julianne Moore and Rob Lowe very gracefully overcame a TelePrompTer fail. AndDownton Abbey’Elizabeth McGovern tripped UP the stairs. And during one cutaway, we saw Dame Helen Mirren chewing. Thus proving stars’ humanness once again.
» While standing next to Kate BeckinsaleSeth Rogen said, “Hello, I’m Seth Rogen, and I’m currently trying to hide a massive erection. ” And then the camera cut away to a show of Jodie Foster’s kids, for some reason.
» Speaking of kids, daughters seemed to be a big theme of the night. Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy winner Michelle Williams thanked her daughter, Matilda, for putting up with having months of bedtime stories in which “all the princesses were read aloud in a Marilyn Monroe voice.” Best Supporting Actor in a TV Series or Miniseries winner Peter Dinklage thanked his daughter who was home with her first babysitter. Best Director winner Martin Scorsese thanked his daughter, Francesca, for introducing him to the book, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, on which Hugo is based.

Ben Kingsley And His Lap Enjoy The Golden Globes

Ben Kingsley might not have been nominated for any awards at the Golden Globestonight, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t enjoy the ceremonies. Particularly the events going on in the general vicinity of his lap. Twitter blew up during tonight’s broadcast after the cameras caught the Hugo star being used as an Academy-Award winning chair by a lovely younger woman. In case you’re wondering, the lady in question was in fact Sir Kingsley’s wife, actress Daniela Lavender, not some extremely confused yet enthusiastic seat filler. Either way, it’s sort of weird to see Gandhi enjoying some lap shenanigans, right? Does it help if we remind you that he was also in The Love Guru? Dear god, we just made it so much worst.

The Golden Globes red carpet looks from this evening’s ceremony seemed to fall into two distinct categories: delightfully lovely, and highly, highly questionable. Is Jessica Biel actually wearing an old ill-fitting wedding dress? Was there no other, better way to get the message across to Justin? Was Zooey Deschanel‘s gown literally made out of Astroturf? How did Tilda Swinton get so insane-pantsuit fabulous? Check out the Golden Globes 20 Most Questionable Looks and let us know which look had you scratching your head the most.

Jessica Lange Says Evan Peters, Taissa Farmiga Are “Incredibly Emotional Actors”

Hello from the Golden Globes press room! Jessica Lange was just onstage answering questions after winning the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Supporting Role for her work on American Horror Story. She’s incredible on the show, and her scenes withEvan Peters and Taissa Farmiga are particularly chilling. As huge fans of AHS and its stars, we were curious about what it’s like for the two-time Oscar winner to work with the show’s young talent.
“I think they’re both incredibly emotional actors,” she told us. “Especially with Evan — he has a rawness to him that I find very exciting in actors, where you can’t anticipate what they’re going to do. And the emotions are right there, and to me that’s the most exciting kind of acting.” She added with a smile, “I enjoy working with both of them immensely.”
When asked about a second season of the hit show, Jessica coyly answered, “Nothing is definite.”

Put A Bird On It! Aviarian Influences At The 2012 Golden Globes

You know the old saying, “Two is coincidence but three makes a trend?” Well, at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards tonight, one of the more sly trends of the evening was ushered in by the unlikely trio of Dianna AgronEvan Rachel Wood and Emma Stone. Specifically, all three were wearing outfits that were either made from or paid tribute to our fine feathered friends, birds.
Evan Rachel Wood led the way with her stunning Gucci Premiere gown, which was decked out with shimmery bird feathers that reminded this viewer more than a little ofBlack SwanGlee star Dianna Agron dazzled in another avarian-inspired outfit, which wasdesigned by Giles and featured laser-cut swans (or so she told E! red carpet correspondent Giulana Rancic). Lastly, Emma Stone kept her dress in place with a sparkly eagle belt, which may or may not have been modeled after the most patriotic of the Muppets, Sam the Eagle. (Hint: It almost certainly wasn’t.)
We saw a whole lot of cray, even more neutrals and a healthy splattering of color on the red carpet at the Golden Globes tonight. And our favorites of the bunch come from all of the above categories. We weren’t too surprised that Angelina JolieCharlize Theron and Reese Witherspoon topped the list — after all, they’ve had a lot of practice at these things — but we hardly could have predicted their dresses. They’re the kind of gowns that make little girls and grown women want to play dress-up. Check out our top 20 list below, and then tell us why we’re all wrong in the comments below!

Melissa McCarthy, Nicole Richie Trot Out Pony Manes At The Golden Globes

Look at these pretty little fillies! If you’re looking for the latest hair trend to ride into the sunset, Jessica ChastainNicole Richie and Melissa McCarthy all rocked voluminous pony manes on the Golden Globes red carpet tonight. The hair’s not quite up and it’s not quite in a bouffant, but either way you want to brush it for hours and feed Jessica sugar cubs from the palm of your hand. So, are you ready to saddle up for your very own mane, or should we put this look immediately out to
Neutrals and blush: If done right, you’re instantly transformed into a more sophisticated and elegant version of yourself. Done wrong, you’re either a human-size Band-Aid or a couture Golden Girl. And not the hot one. Either way, Piper Perabo took pleasure in demonstrating how unbeige beige can be on the Golden Globes red carpet tonight, as did Charlize TheronHeidi KlumKatherine McPheeAmanda Peet, Taissa Farmiga, E!’s Guiliana Rancic, and Modern Family’Sarah Hyland and Julie Bowden. The neutrals and blushes are still coming fast and furious, but which is your favorite flesh-toned frock so far?
