Angella Katatumba drags ACCU to court by 1544c Ssejjombwe. (+256 782233273)
Angella Katatumba, under her humanitarian project “Let’s go green” has dragged the Anti-Corruption Coalition Uganda (ACCU) to the courts of Law for defamation. This came after they used her “let’s go green” song in a radio advert without consulting her and for that, ACCU will have to pay 150m.
She dragged them to the commercial court maintaining that they never asked for her permission to use her song before the advert was aired out on various radio stations. She says this affected her image and market since her fans found it provocative. The reigning Diva’s role model of the year also added that despite the daily calls she receives from high profile people to drop the case, she’s determined to see this matter to the end.“After hearing the advert, I was so furious that I immediately contacted my lawyers to get into this matter. I want sh 150m from ACCU for the damages caused. This will help in setting a trend that artists should be respected and not taken for granted. It would have been a lot easier and cheaper if they had contacted me earlier.” Angella concluded.”

Bobi Wine is slated to become the first Ugandan artist to have a reality show on one of the Tv stations in Uganda. We have learnt. The Tv series will be premiered in a few months to come and will basically be looking at Bobi Wine’s life as a husband, father and artist. The “wesotinge” artist’s who of recent acquired a new title “Omubanda wa kabaka” (King’s gangster) will have a resemblance to Snoop Dog’s reality Tv show on Dstv. Bobi Wine is one of the few artists to command a huge fan base in this competitive industry besides being considered as one of the top three artists in Uganda.
We were reliably informed that Eighton and Rain best known as “Kiwoko boys” have separated after close to five years as a duo. The artists who’s breakthrough came after their “Kiwoko” song that was attributed to the Goodlyf duo of Moze Radio and Weasel had formed “Money makers” soon after falling out with Bebe Cool. It’s said they separated to pursue solo careers but rumor doing rounds is that the bickering came after both artists failed to agree on who the lead singer of “Money makers” is. “Ngato zo” and “Accident ahead” are some of the songs the duo have as money makers.

2011 by far has been Bebe’s coolest year for he started and ended it on a high note. With two of his last concerts (Tondeka Ekiwatule on Christmas Eve and Pliers alongside Mr G concert on New Year’s Eve), the singer bagged more than 300m. And when you add up his East African carnival, Bend over concert and album launches, he’s well beyond 700m.
But that isn’t Bebe’s greatest news for the year. The artist is on course to receiving twins from the info we received a couple of days ago. Zuena, Bebe’s wife and mother of his two kids is four months pregnant and at the moment is in the US where she’ll give birth to the couple’s first bunch of twins.
Besides wanting his twins to have duo-citizenship, Bebe’s other reason for sending his wife to the States on her own is because she’ll be residing with his mother who currently resides in the US.

The performance will be held at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at the school on North Ross Avenue.

He has done everything to substantiate his stage name “Chameleon” but we never thought it would come to a point when singer Joseph Mayanja would implore his fans get him money to shoot the video of his recent track “Valu valu”
To prove how big he is in the music industry, Chameleon said he’s going to let his fans shoot the video for his recent track. “I’m going to let my fans meet the costs for the “valu valu” video shoot. I’m going to give out my MTN line which will be used for all contributions. My fans will be deciding who will be shooting the video and every penny will be used efficiently. I believe this is going to be the most expensive video ever.”He said this in an interview on one of the radio stations.
We are yet to find out if the “Vumilia” artist is running broke or it’s just a strategy to prove that his fans are loyal enough to shoot him a video.
“Valu Valu” was recorded in Swahili and Paddy Man,
