Rooney's big in Brazil... with surprise appearance at the Rio carnival
but Sir Alex Ferguson doesn't need to worry about his star striker.
After all, it wasn't the real Rooney on show at Brazil's biggest party. Instead, a reveller partied in a giant costume depicting the Manchester United ace.

On me 'ead son: The Rooney outfit lines up alongside Ronaldo at the Sambadrome
Waltzing through the Sambadrome on Monday night, the massive Rooney head caught the eye among similar outfits hailing heroes from Brazil.
Ronaldo - complete with scary huge front teeth - and Romario were two other Samba legends to join Rooney in the fancy dress stakes.
Whether Fergie is considering making a move for Rooney's double remains to be seen - but no-one would fancy marking him at a corner, that's for sure...

Spot the difference: Rooney in Rio de Janeiro... and in real life for Manchester United
flop Fernando Torres is still considered to be part of football's A-list.
The Spain World Cup winner is set to return to the bench for tonight's Champions League clash against Napoli.
Torres was hauled off by manager Andre Villas-Boas against Championship side Birmingham in the FA Cup last Saturday after just 45 minutes following an abject first-half performance.

Full of fizz: Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, DJ Calvin Harris, Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Jack Wilshere and Fernando Torres are part of the new Pepsi Max campaign
Although the striker's Stamford Bridge troubles continue, the big sponsors are standing by him with Pepsi Max including him in their new campaign.
The 27-year-old joins FIFA World Player of the Year Lionel Messi, team-mates Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba, Arsenal ace Jack Wilshere and Manchester City star Sergio Aguero alongside top DJ Calvin Harris to launch the soft drink giants' 'Kick in the Mix' promotion.
The campaign fuses the speed, flair and tempo of football, together with the energy, rhythm and passion of music.
Scottish deck-spinner Harris has enjoyed success in the charts with No 1 tracks including 'We Found Love' and 'I'm Not Alone'.
But Torres, so down on his luck when it comes to hitting the back of net of late, might be found humming the old Elton John favourite 'I guess that's why they call it the Blues'.

Feeling the blues: Struggling striker Torres has not scored in 20 games for Chelsea
Barcelona superstar Messi, who often dances his way through defenders, is a big fan of the project and said: 'Fusing the game of football with music at a time when dance music is so popular is really exciting.
'Music is a big part of the game and fan experience, so it feels very natural to bring them together.'
Argentine compatriot Aguero, meanwhile, finds himself top of the Premier League charts with Manchester City and revealed the campaign should become a hit with fans.
The City striker said: 'I had a great time on my first Pepsi shoot working alongside some world-class players. I can't wait for my fans to see it.'
Gunners midfielder Jack Wilshere follows in the footsteps of David Beckham for the the first time and said: 'Being part of the Pepsi football line-up for the first time is fantastic.
'I remember watching the Pepsi ads over the years and seeing the legendary names that have been part of Pepsi’s football history, so starring in the 2012 campaign is really exciting for me.'
