BOOM CELEB ELIUD

Man City 2 Chelsea 1

Carlos Tevez returned from six months in exile since his Munich bust-up with manager Roberto Mancini and produced the pass which put the spark back into Manchester City's title bid.
Mancini's men were a goal behind to Gary Cahill's deflected shot when Tevez was summoned from the bench by the boss with 66 minutes gone — and this time round the Argy was bang up for it.
After his mate Sergio Aguero equalised from the penalty spot, Tevez played a sublime one-two with Samir Nasri with five minutes left and the Frenchman clipped the dramatic winner into the corner.
It marked a record-breaking 20th home Premier League win in a row for City — and the fans in the Etihad Stadium went mad.

They believe once more that they can triumph in this title race as they closed the gap on rivals Manchester United to a single point.
City deserved victory on the balance of play but, until Tevez came on, there was concern that their bid to overhaul United was coming to a grinding halt.
Whatever you think of the barrel-chested striker — and there are plenty of opinions — it is undeniable that he is an extremely gifted footballer.
And when Tevez does actually make it on to the field of play, his work-rate is rarely questioned.
Nobody expected to see Tevez in a City shirt again but now he is, he could be the missing piece in the jigsaw.

Last night, his touch of guile was sorely needed with Aguero getting little change out of Cahill and David Luiz, while Italian hitman Mario Balotelli was so out of sorts he was subbed at half-time.
Mancini had come out defiantly pre-match to claim that his side would win the title and needed a victory to support his brave boast.
To that end, ever the pragmatist, he welcomed back Tevez.

There was muted applause for the Argentina ace as he practised before kick-off but none of the fans will be complaining if Tevez helps win them the title.
And with Nasri playing possibly his best game since his £24million summer arrival from Arsenal, City were unlucky not to take the lead on eight minutes.
Yaya Toure played a raking 40-yard through ball and Nasri expertly chested down and chipped over Petr Cech. The crowd were celebrating as it headed towards goal but there were groans when it struck the bar and bounced away.
Nasri again tried a long-range drive which was just over the bar — and when the Blues' skipper for the night Frank Lampard gave the ball away, it seemed Balotelli must go on and score.
But the striker was having one of those nights and, though Cech saved his shot, it was never going in anyway.

Mancini made no apology for hauling the sulky frontman off and replacing him with Gareth Barry arguing, quite simply, afterwards that his fellow Italian was not any good.
Chelsea had enjoyed a resurgence under caretaker-boss Roberto Di Matteo, winning four games in a row since he took over from the axed Andre Villas-Boas.
It was a big week for the West Londoners, with a home game against Spurs to follow and the trip to Lisbon next Tuesday for the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Benfica.
But they were digging in to keep the scores level and Nasri again caused problems when his cross-cum-shot was tipped on to the bar by Cech. From there, the ball was turned back in and David Silva's effort was deflected just wide.
From the corner, Aguero's acrobatic volley flew over.

Di Matteo decided he needed more steel in midfield and replaced Raul Meireles with Michael Essien.
Within a minute, Chelsea were ahead against the run of play as Barry lost out in a tangle with David Luiz and Cahill's shot was deflected past Joe Hart by the unfortunate Yaya Toure.
That meant it was time for Tevez — and he came on in place of Nigel De Jong to more cheers than boos.
City fans might not like what he has done but they are a forgiving bunch.
For Chelsea, Didier Drogba replaced Fernando Torres, who had battled hard up front without reward.

The former Liverpool man retained his place after his double against Leicester in the FA Cup broke a goal drought which had lasted longer than 24 hours of pitch time.
However, you still had to go back to September for his last goal in the Premier League and he was far from happy at being hooked.
It needed a consoling word from Di Matteo to stop him throwing his toys out of the pram.
City looked shattered and without the same purpose they had shown in the first half.
But they got a lifeline when Pablo Zabaleta crashed in a drive which would have gone high into the stands had Essien not blocked it with a raised arm. It happened at close range and, though Di Matteo claimed it was harsh, credit to him for conceding it probably was a penalty.

Aguero tucked away the spot-kick with 12 minutes left and it was game on again for City.
When Nasri collected he knew exactly what to do. The Frenchman played it in to the feet of Tevez, continued his run and took the return pass from which he gleefully converted.
Last term, Tevez lifted City's first silverware in 35 years as his team claimed the FA Cup.
What a twist it would be if he is parading the Premier League trophy at the Etihad on May 13.

The 31-year-old wore a tribal print yellow, black and white maxi dress that was so low-cut it displayed the entirety of her bikini top.
However not content with the revealing frock, Paris fashioned it into a skirt so her entire upper body was exposed, save for the parts her jungle print triangle bikini top covered.
Paris showed off her slim and toned frame as she posed poolside and looked regal as fans snapped her while she stood on a chair to get a better view of her DJ pal.

This isn't a takeover of Goldman Sachs, this is simple stuff!' Lord Sugar 'fires' cautious Bilyana as The Apprentice gets underway

Strategy-loving Bilyana Apostolova was the first to get the chop as the new series of The Apprentice got underway last night.
Lord Sugar objected to the candidate's inability to make her opinion known, and told her: 'I did say in my introduction that I didn’t want anybody to hide and on that basis you don’t do yourself any favours, Bilyana – You’re Fired.'

Bilyana reflected as she was driven away: 'I feel the decision wasn’t fair and I don’t think that my performance cost us the task. But my business plan is excellent so I’ll just move on straight away.'
Lord Alan Sugar appeared on his usual form as he threw another group of 16 hopefuls into the deep end on the new series of the Apprentice.

'This is not about a job anymore and I’m not looking for a friend, if I wanted a friend I’d get a dog. I’m looking for a partner, the Marks to my Spencer, the Lennon to my McCartney,' he told the nervous group.
The candidates were divided into two groups and charged with the task of buying £500 worth of blank material, from mugs to mouse mats, creating designs to print onto them and then selling their unique products to the public.
Confident Gabrielle volunteered herself as Project Manager on the girls' team - christened Sterling- citing her experience of recently opening her own print and design store.

The choice was more wrought on the boys' team - named Phoenix - but Nick eventually volunteered to be team leader, saying: 'I’ll put myself forward if nobody wants to do it. I don’t really want to do the first week’s task but I will do it.'
Getting to work, the boys prioritised costs and margins over branding, with Nick declaring: 'The design comes second.'
The group finally make an impulse decision to target tourists, making teddies wearing Union Jack t-shirts and bags branded with red buses.

Meanwhile, Gabrielle focused on a quirky and unique design for the girls' product, and ignored Jane, who pleaded: 'Hold on a second, how much is this going to cost us? At the end of the day it’s about the margin.'
Having settled on their designs, both teams head to the studios to screen print their products.
This stage saw the boys run into trouble, with their products looking inconsistent and poor quality.

Opting to try and sell the faulty goods anyway, Nick shrugged, 'we’ll sell it to a gullible tourist,' before the group divided itself between Southbank and St Pancras train station to tempt tourists with their wares.
Meanwhile, the girls set up stalls at Greenwich market and London Zoo.
Katie mocked Bilyana’s sales tactics, explaining 'We decided we would take turns to use everybody’s strengths in sales but Bilyana is diving in there and taking over other people’s sales.'
Not impressed: Shopkeepers found the girls' sales approach rude and uncooth

Back in the boardroom, it was revealed that Sterling had total sales of £690.60 having spent £475.80 and so made a total profit of £214.80
Phoenix had total sales of £1015.60 with a total spend of £399.40 working out a profit of £616.20, meaning that the boys were safe for this week.

Back in the boardroom, Jane was quick to blame Project Manager Gabrielle’s preoccupation with design for their failings, protesting: 'From my point of view the guys were very focused on their margins, focused on how many products they were going to sell at the end of the day.'

The girls described the long walk that Bilyana led them on to find local shops, costing them precious sales time, after which Nick Hewer informed Lord Sugar of their behaviour to the retailer, saying 'the shopkeeper was so affronted by their sales approach that she wouldn’t buy anything, she couldn’t stand being cornered by a pack of baying hyenas.'

Gabrielle chose to take Katie and Bilyana back into the boadroom with her, explaining: 'Katie because maybe you did pull your weight but I myself did not see that and I’m just going on what everyone else has told me, and Bilyana for making everyone waste a lot of time.'
Lord Sugar asked Bilyana why she thought the rest had a generally frosty attitude towards her.
She said that she believed it was because she wasn’t as loud as the other girls, and  approached the task by analysing the risks.
'Big enough for all our egos!' The candidates admired their new home

Lord Sugar retorted: 'Bilyana you’re sitting there talking like a city strategist, this is a two bob outing. This is not a takeover of Goldman Sachs, this is simple stuff!'
Bilyana attempted to win back the situation, interrupting: If you give me the opportunity I will prove to you that I will be a solid project manager.'
Irritated, Lord Sugar replied: 'I’m not listening to anybody anymore now, I’ve had enough of listening to you. I’m telling you what the situation is whether you like it or not.
'It is a difficult decision to make in this first task so the person leaving today may feel that they haven’t had enough time to show themselves but that’s tough, that’s what this process is about.'

Michael's mansion for sale: Home where Jackson died is put on the market for $23.9million

Back on the market: The home where Michael Jackson died has been put up for sale again
It has been on and off the market for years.
And now the mansion Michael Jackson was renting for $100,000-a-month when he died has been put up for sale once again.
The house, which has seven bedrooms, 13 bathrooms and a seven-car garage all sprawled over 17,200 square feet comes with an asking price of $23.9million.
It was listed for a higher price of $29million when it was put on the market in August 2010.
However it is understood to have remained empty since the superstar's death in June 2009.
Despite this it may be lived in soon as it has reported by TMZ that a 'major celebrity' is due to look around the property tomorrow.
And the website also alleges that the realtor will only show the property to people who are pre-qualified, which means it has been verified that they have enough money to purchase the pricey home.
As well as the expansive grounds and spacious rooms, the mansion boasts a movie theatre and swimming pool.

The 50-year-old singer died of a Propofol overdose in June 2009 in the house in Holmby Hills, which is in upmarket Bel Air, Los Angeles.
The asking price for the house, which is owned by Ed Hardy CEO Hubert Guez, has been slashed several times.

It was put up for sale back in 2008 for a whopping $38million.
After Guez initially tried to rent the property for $300,000 a month, and failed, he decided to put the house up for sale at the reduced price to offload it.

He had been living there with his three children, Prince Michael, 13, Paris, 12, and Blanket, eight.

On June 25th 2009 paramedics were called to the house on Carolwood Drive after Michael had been found in bed and unresponsive.

Ron's the Real deal...but Messi is the world's best

MESSIAH ... Lionel celebrates becoming Barcelona's record goalscorer

LIONEL MESSI'S astonishing feats at Barcelona must make Cristiano Ronaldo's blood run cold.

La Liga (5): 2004–05, 2005–06, 2008–09, 2009–10, 2010–11
Copa del Rey (1): 2008–09

As Barca boss Pep Guardiola said last night: "I am sorry for those who are trying to usurp Leo's throne but it's impossible."
Messi's hat-trick against Granada turned him into Barcelona's record goal-scorer at just 24 as he overtook the legendary Cesar and now stands at 234 goals in all competitions.
But Ronaldo deserves some sympathy.
Real Madrid are top of La Liga, five points clear of Barca, which could turn to eight tonight with their game in hand at Villareal.
The Madrid megastar is on the verge of reaching 100 Liga goals in fewer than three seasons at the Bernabeu.
He has 99 in 90 matches and even the fantastic Ferenc Puskas needed 105 games to reach a Liga century for Real.
The most expensive footballer of all time has notched up 129 strikes in 129 games for Madrid since his £80million move from Manchester United.
And last season Ronaldo broke the all-time Liga record with 40 goals.
Those are jaw-dropping feats that justify the eye-watering sum Madrid president Florentino Perez coughed up.
Now ask yourselves this:
Whose name has been talked about more than anyone else's all season?
Whose name is associated constantly with the unofficial title of "the best player of all time?"
Not Ronaldo. The answer, of course, is Messi.
Ronaldo, for all his superlative stats, is not even part of the conversation.
But that is not because of some conspiracy or propaganda.
It is because while Ronaldo rattles them in, goal-machine Messi's Barcelona have been winning the trophies.
It is because whenever Messi's Barcelona faced Ronaldo's Madrid in any competition they prevailed — apart from the Copa del Rey final last year when the Portugal star headed the extra-time winner.
It is because this was Real's ONLY win against the Catalans in the four seasons Guardiola has been in charge and the three Ronaldo has been in Madrid.
It is because since Ronaldo's arrival Madrid have failed to beat Barcelona in La Liga.
It is because the Catalans outclassed Madrid in last year's Champions League semi-final both on and off the pitch.
Remember Jose Mourinho's Special tactics — more kung-fu than football — to stop Barca playing?
And his "why, why, why" monologue that accused UEFA of pro-Catalan corruption and earned him a four-match ban after Guardiola's men had beaten them 2-0 at the Bernabeu to all but secure their place at Wembley's final?
It is because this year — with Real runaway Liga leaders — Barcelona came to the Bernabeu and won 3-1 staging another exhibition, despite Real's 1st-minute opener through Karim Benzema.

SECOND BEST ... Cristiano Ronaldo can't quite match Lionel Messi
SECOND BEST ... Cristiano Ronaldo can't quite match Lionel Messi
It is because when Barcelona went to the Bernabeu a few weeks later in the Copa del Rey they won 2-1 and subsequently dumped Madrid out after a 2-2 draw at the Nou Camp.
Last year Ronaldo fired 53 goals in all competitions. Messi stopped at 52 but lifted the Champions League and La Liga while Ronaldo had just the Spanish Cup to show for a splendid season.
Ironically Ronaldo arrived at the Bernabeu as...the Messiah.
I sat in the middle of the pitch with the rest of the world's media as he came out on stage and all I remember are the decibel levels created by 85,000 that had crammed into every corner of the Bernabeu — and the 10,000 locked out around Real's historic stadium.
Since then, individually, Ronaldo has produced fireworks to match the fiesta of that balmy July evening in the summer of 2009.
Let's not forget even Ronaldo's last game for United was a loss against Messi, who headed the second as Barcelona buried the Red Devils in the Champions League final in Rome.
Ronaldo arrived at the Bernabeu as the reigning World Player of the Year after scoring 42 goals for United in his penultimate season and winning the Premier and Champions League double (after dumping Barca out in the semis).
But since joining Madrid he has seen Messi win the crown of the world's best player THREE times. Even when Spain won the World Cup Messi was STILL voted the No1 on the planet.
Ronaldo's character and perseverance must be praised as he has kept going and improving where many would have wilted.
But since he's gone to Madrid he has only won the Spanish Cup.
In that time Messi has won TEN trophies — two Ligas, a Champions League, two European Supercups, two club World Cups and three Spanish Supercups.
In 11 matches head-to-head, Barcelona have won seven and drawn three while Madrid have only won ONE.
So to answer the question on who I think the world's greatest player is, I have to choose the Argentine.
And that's because Messi scores as many goals and has won many more trophies and almost every Clasico.
The fact is Ronaldo has won 10 trophies at the age of 27. Messi has won 18 at the age of 24.

Jose red rage of 1:1

Jose Mourinho

JOSE MOURINHO was sent off last night as Real Madrid slipped up in their charge towards the Spanish title.

The Special One was sent to the stands after sarcastically applauding ref Jose Romero following Villarreal's free-kick equaliser in the 1-1 draw at El Madrigal.
He could now face another touchline ban with his team's lead at the top now just six points.
Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring but Sergio Ramos and Mesut Ozil were also sent off after Mourinho got his marching orders.
