Ja Rule’s Jamaican Patty Prison Birthday Lunch!

Happy Birthday, Ja Rule! For the first time in four years (because it’s a leap year), Ja Rule is able to celebrate his birthday on its actual day — February 29th! Unfortunately for Ja, he’s in prison.
The folks over at TMZ have gotten their hands on today’s prison menu at the New York State Prison where Ja Rule is serving his 2-year sentence for gun possession. Take a look at the grub Ja will be consuming today on what is only his 9th official birthday.
For breakfast, Ja Rule scarfed down on some corn flakes. He had Jamaican patties for lunch, and tonight, he will be dining on turkey stew for dinner. Doesn’t sound too bad for prison food.
Happy 36th Birthday, Ja Rule!
: Nicki Minaj Spends $50K On Accessories Every Month!
The phrase “it’s expensive to look this cheap” definitely applies to Nicki Minaj, when you realize how much money she spends on accessories every month.

In this month’s issue of Vogue, the first lady of YMCMB revealed that she used to spend $50K a month on shoes and handbags.
“At one time I was spending $ 50,000 a month on Giuseppe, Versace, YSL, and Fendi shoes. And I bought tons of Louis Vuitton bags.”
Homegirl is screaming new money! Slow down, boo! We’d hate to see you end up broke once your 15 minutes are up.
Has J.Lo Been Avoiding Diddy’s Calls?
Even though Diddy is rumored to be getting it in with Cameron Diaz, has Cassie at his beck-and-call and has Kim Porter at home raising his three kids…the Bad Boy still wants that old thing back!

According to US Weekly, Diddy and Jennifer Lopez were chatting at an Oscar after party and some ear hustler overheard their conversation. According the the source, J.Lo was overheard apologizing to Diddy for not returning his calls or text messages. Diddy didn’t seem to mind and had a huge smile on his face.
The two famously dated from 1999 to 2001, and infamously broke up after Diddy got caught up in a nightclub shooting in NYC. Diddy was reportedly heartbroken over the break-up and since Jennifer is single again, I can see these two hooking back up in the near future.
Russell Simmons Defends Jay-Z’s “Occupy All Streets” T-Shirt
AllHipHop News) The controversy surrounding the Occupy Wall Street movement has hit the fashion world, thanks to a controversial T-shirt that was supposed to be released by Jay-Z.

Hip-Hop mogul Russell Simmons, who was seen with Jay-Z the night he debuted the “Occupy All Streets” T-shirt, weighed in on the matter in an interview with Billboard.biz.
“What’s wrong with selling goodness? There’s nothing wrong with it,” Russell Simmons said.
“Jay-Z didn’t make a T-shirt [that said] ‘F**k the Bums on the Street,” Simmons continued. “He wrote a T-shirt ‘Occupy All Streets’ – I’m happy, it furthers the movement, it inspires the movement.”
Simmons, who is worth over $250 million dollars, has also been the subject of criticism for his association with Occupy Wall Street.
But the mogul defended his fortune, by noting his track record for consistently giving back to poor and disenfranchised people around the world.
“I’m going to get every corporation that wants to support us to get branding as part of the process,” Russell Sioms said. “No one’s against business. We’re against business having too much control over our government.”
