Diana Ross  sings  for President Obama

Veteran singer Diana, 68, wore a stunning white ballgown to sing at the concert, and she looked perfect enough to pop on top of the giant Christmas Tree on stage.

Diana's white dress took up plenty of room onstage, and the President appeared to have some difficulty getting near her as she threw open her arms for a hug.

Her appearance came as she recovered from breaking her ankle at a party thrown by 

Feeling festive: The singer looked a great deal younger than her 68 years when she appeared onstage

'She is fine and has been recovering. She will be performing next week for the President in Washington DC.'

Costume change: Ross swapped her blue dress for a festive black , white and silver ensemble as she addressed the audience
