Adebayor gets hands on Spurs strip as ruthless AVB stems tide of departures

Tottenham's revolving door remains in full swing as Emmanuel Adebayor finally completed his return to the club.
The big striker, who spent last season on loan at White Hart Lane, signed a permanent deal on Tuesday.
And he could soon be joined by fellow attackers Willian and Leandro Damiao as manager Andre Villas-Boas ramps up his recruitment drive.

The 28-year-old's arrival is a huge boost to Villas-Boas, who had only one recognised out and out striker in Jermain Defoe.Manchester City and Adebayor finally came to an agreement on the terms of a pay-off, allowing the Togo striker to move for a reported fee of £5million. Adebayor posed with Villas-Boas and the Spurs shirt on Wednesday.
Adebayor's arrival also stems the tide of departures from White Hart Lane. Villas-Boas has been ruthless in his efforts to re-shape his side with Michael Dawson expected to be the latest departure. Queens Park Rangers head the queue to sign the defender in a £10m deal with Stoke and Sunderland also keen.
Midfielder Tom Huddlestone is set to join Stoke on a season-long loan deal while Sebastien Bassong has signed for Norwich. The exodus began with Steven Pienaar rejoining Everton while Ryan Nelson left for QPR and Louis Saha headed north to Sunderland.
Luka Modric is still expected to join Real Madrid in a deal that could be worth up to £35m. His replacement, Gylfi Sigurdsson is one of only two other signings along with Belgian defender Jan Vertonghen.
Villas-Boas has however set his sights firmly on adding attacking flair to his new-look side.Willian is close to joining the London club for a free expected to be £20m while his countryman Damiao has long been on Spurs' radar.
Midfielders Yann M'Vila, who is also wanted by Arsenal, Nir Biton and Miralem Pjanic are also options with Biton believed to be training with the club.
