Brazil star Lucas poised to snub Man United for PSG

Lucas Moura in action for Brazil
Brazilian website Globoesporte.com claims a number of factors have swayed the 19-year-old into selecting Paris, with the youngster apparently thinking Manchester is "boring".
PSG also has Leonardo as its director of football and he is believed to have played a key role in convincing his compatriot to move to France as he also played for Moura's current side Sao Paulo and has a close working relationship with the teenager's agent, Wagner Ribeiro.
Brazil and Moura are currently in England competing in the Olympics and the Samba stars have placed a ban on players entering contract negotiations while they focus on gold in London.
That has delayed any deal being completed but it is likely to be finalised once Moura returns to his club.
However, PSG will have to part with a player to facilitate the deal as they have already reached their limit of non-Europeans in their squad.

Mancini admits Man City have given up on Van Persie

Roberto Mancini has given up hope of signing Robin van Persie

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has conceded defeat in the race to sign Robin Van Persie.
City have been chasing Van Persie ever since he announced his intention to leave Arsenal last month.
But Mancini admits the prospect of the 29-year-old moving to the Etihad Stadium this summer is remote.
The Italian was quoted as saying by various newspapers: "Van Persie? No, I don't think he will come here."
Manchester United now appear in pole position to land Van Persie after Sir Alex Ferguson missed his side’s pre-season trip to Norway in an attempt to finalise a deal.
Van Persie is understood to be keen on a switch to Old Trafford but Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has still not given up hope of keeping his star man, who the won both the Professional Footballers' Association and Football Writers' Association player of the year prizes last term.
