HAT-TRICK HERO ... Radamel Falcao

GARY CAHILL led the postmortem after Chelsea were ripped apart by Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao.
Atletico’s star man scored a first-half hat-trick before Joao Miranda wrapped up victory in the Super Cup.
Cahill netted late on for the Blues but it proved to be little more than a consolation for Roberto Di Matteo’s European champions.
And the centre-back was quick to reveal his frustration after a humiliating night in Monaco.
He said: “We played below par. We fell to pieces.
“We started the game sloppy and that went right through the game. If we’re honest with ourselves everyone was below par and it was embarrassing at times.
“We approach every game in the same way. It was a massive game and we let ourselves down and passed up a great opportunity.
“It is difficult. Obviously we will look to bounce back in the league as this was unacceptable.”
Falcao’s treble was his second in four days and saw him completely outshine Fernando Torres, who endured a nightmare reunion with his boyhood idols just 24 hours after declaring his Chelsea hell was a thing of the past.
Di Matteo also bemoaned his side’s poor start, which saw Falcao open the scoring in the sixth minute.
